To those of you who have no fucking clue who we are – Thanks for clicking Next Blog» at the top of the screen and landing here. After taking a spin on Blogspot, I advise you to kick back and stay a while – most blogs here are either dedicated to German haikus about goat play or Aunt Shelly’s Cat Corner Photo Journal.
It’s been almost two years to the day since we unceremoniously hung it up at Bowler & Benny. We hatched this movie blog to fill the void that good whiskey and long sustained eye contact with strangers on public transportation could not achieve alone. Movies are our one common language (subtitles homey) so we thought this was logical. Hopefully this one will be a little more focused that our scatterbrain sports rants. Every week, we will all submit themed posts about different films, genres, or actors. As a matter of full disclosure, we are not nearly as pretentious as we need to be for this variety of writing (well, maybe Dirty is). This will simply be a collection of film related muses, not quite reviews, but something that will keep all our Netflix queues busy.
The title of this blog comes from Homer Simpson. One day, he stumbles into a job as a food critic for the local newspaper. Without the use of the “E” button on his typewriter, this was the best he could muster. We have full keyboard access, but like Bill Simpson, we’re not quite playing with a full deck.
Marge: Homer, you do know the E is broken on that typewriter.Homer: We don't need no stinkin' E! Let's see... Restaurant Review... No! Eatery Evaluation! No! Food Box! Go or No Go by Homer... no, Earl... no... Bill Simpson!
Our first topic: Recently Released Movies on DVD.

Can you lead me to Aunt Shelly's Cat Corner Photo Journal? That sounds right up my street. I'm already a fan of week one. Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteKaren, you are the best. Oh, and thanks for the Sammi comment on facebook. That bitch is just 'orible. That barking dog/nail clicking hand thing made me physically ill.
ReplyDeleteWhile not Aunt Shelly, this is about on par- http://jcfloresinc.blogspot.com/
Once you start filling in word bubbles to what your cats are saying on the internet without the faintest sense of irony, it's time to start reevaluating things.
Looking forward to it!!
